During its retuen, the train starts from Ooty at 2pm and reaches Mettupalayam at 5.35pm, according to IRCTC. The main stations along its route are Coonoor, Wellington, Aravankadu, Ketti and Lovedale. Ooty is a market town for the surrounding area which is still largely dependent on agriculture, including the cultivation of "English vegetables" and "English fruits" grown locally. This primarily consists of potato, carrot, cabbage and cauliflower and the fruits being peaches, plums, pears and strawberries.
