WebGarritan Personal Orchestra 5 includes a great number of instruments that can be employed as individual players in a section environment. Most instruments (brass, woodwinds, and solo strings) have derivative ensemble player (Plr) instruments. These are solo instruments designed for building ensemble sections. WebToday, membership of the SDSU Civic Orchestra includes 45 musicians. Participation includes music majors, non-majors and adult musicians. The group practices on Tuesdays during the academic year. Concert programs by the orchestra include masterworks and “pops” styled selections. Performances are held in November, February and April.
